HSL Technologies (SAS HySiLabs) was founded in 2015 by Pierre-Emmanuel Casanova and Vincent Lôme, following a groundbreaking discovery at Aix-Marseille University: a molecule capable of spontaneously releasing hydrogen. This innovation led to the development of HydroSil, a revolutionary liquid carrier designed to optimize hydrogen logistics and decarbonize key industrial markets.
In 2022, the company entered a new phase with the appointment of Corine Dubruel as Executive President, coinciding with the successful closing of a €15 million Series A round in 2023. This funding enabled significant growth and the deployment of HSL’s innovations.
Today, HSL Technologies is recognized as a deeptech leader with a dual ambition: enabling efficient energy logistics through hydrogen and providing silica solutions to support the global transition to a low-carbon economy.

We aim to revolutionize hydrogen transport and storage through HydroSil, a breakthrough liquid hydrogen carrier that is safe, stable, and recyclable. By eliminating the need for high-pressure or cryogenic systems, we enable cost-effective hydrogen distribution using existing infrastructure.
At the same time, we unlock the full potential of silica valorization, transforming a by-product of our process into a valuable, low-carbon material for industrial applications. This dual innovation positions HSL Technologies at the intersection of clean energy and sustainable materials.
