The HydroSil process generates high-value, low-carbon silica as a co-product, with a significant carbon footprint reduction (~50% less CO₂ compared to conventional silica).
Silica is produced in two forms: pyrogenic silica (during green silicon production) and coproduct silica (after hydrogen release), targeting industries such as elastomers, tires, food, feed, paints, and coatings.
The process is highly efficient: for every 1 kton of hydrogen released, 18,7 ktons of silica are generated, with minimal energy input (5 kWh per kg of low-carbon silica).
The silica product is positioned as a sustainable alternative in a market with strong demand for green materials and few current suppliers.
5 kWh for 1 kg of low-carbon silica
≈50% of CO2 reduction for end users
15 ktons of unprecipitated silica for 1 kton of H2 released
3x more than standard silica
HydroSil’s innovative silica solutions are designed to enhance functionality, efficiency, and sustainability across a wide range of industrial applications:
Our silica improves rolling resistance, grip, and durability, supporting safer and more energy-efficient mobility.
It provides superior rheology control, matting effects, and scratch resistance, enabling high-performance finishes and long-lasting protection.
HydroSil silica serves as a reliable excipient, offering moisture control, flow enhancement, and stability in solid dosage forms.
Used as an anti-caking and carrier agent, our silica ensures consistent texture, flowability, and shelf-life in food and feed products.
In building materials, HydroSil silica enhances mechanical strength, durability, and workability in applications such as concrete, sealants, and adhesives—contributing to more resilient and sustainable infrastructure.
With a strong commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility, HydroSil empowers industries to meet their performance goals while advancing toward a more sustainable future.
